Distance (miles): 8.90   Ascent (feet): 1064  Difficulty: Moderate

HAREWOOD COUNTRY PARK - ‘EMMERDALE’ - BRAMHOPE - CHEVIN FOREST PARK - OTLEY
Harewood—West Yorkshire

Description:

Almost all of today’s walk is along sections of The Ebor Way, and highlights some of the beauty of the Harewood Estate and the Otley Chevin Forest Park. We start our walk in the village of HAREWOOD and follow paths around the perimeter of the Harewood Estate via Church Lane and Home Farm, and passing by the lake you will see Hare-wood House behind you. Watch out in this area as you may see sightings of the Red Kites that frequent this area. We continue to Stub House farm where we will see ‘EMMERDALE’ village, which is the site for the TV filming of this popular ‘soap’. Continuing along the Ebor Way via Bank Top lane and by Bank top Farm, we make our way into BRAMHOPE where will have our lunch stop at the Fox and Hounds, a pub we have used on many occasions, After lunch we continue again on the Ebor Way, via the popular Chevin Forest Park to where we make our descent from the park into OTLEY town centre, to reach the end of the walk.
