BRANTINGHAM-WELTON- BRANTINGHAM
The Wolds Way—Part 1

Description:

We start today’s walk in the lovely village of Brantingham where remains of a Roman Villa where discovered in 1941 and another factoid,- the strange war memorial is built from remnants of the old town hall in Hull. Leaving the village we climb (very steadily) up to the top of The Wolds, offering some fine views of the surrounding countryside, then across and down into another lovely wolds village of Welton. Here we find The Green Dragon (Christmas 2017) which should make a good refreshment stop. We continue up towards a wooded area before going back down and into the village of Brantingham, either via the church or by the shorter route straight to The Triton Inn and the end of our walk. PAM’S MESSAGE: ALL HILLS WILL BE TAKEN SLOWLY
